P.E.A.R.L.S.
Just as a pearl is formed
from the oyster's response to grain of sand, we want our lives to produce beautiful "pearls" for the Lord as we biblically
respond to all that we encounter. The letters in the word stand for:
P
– Praying
E – Equipping
A – Abiding
R – Resting
L – Loving
S – Supporting
This group is formed primarily
from people from Irmo to Prosperity. The moms usually meet on the first Saturday of the month for breakfast
at a restaurant in the Irmo area during the school year. This past year, we had once a month children activities
planned. Some of these times were informal, and some were planned educational activities. At other times we have done
family activities or evenings out that include fathers and the rest of the family members.
The
members of this group strive to encourage one another, to focus on the biblical order of priorities, to be real with each
other, and to pray for one another. Our desire is to build relationships among the children and the moms.
We seek to add support, not stress. This is a small group which has a wide age range of children.
It also has several veteran homeschoolers who are willing to be a resource for others.
